Produced by “Monte Re 1958”, a farming company located on the smiley hill of Montino at an altitude of 400 meters (in the city of Altomonte: one of the most beautiful village in Italy, important for its culture, history and tradition).
Grape variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon; the plantation has 2500 logs managed with simple guyot and short pruning. The grapevine stand on the Altomonte’s ridge, looking west. The soil is characterized by a good calcareous tufaceous component able to confer to the wine a decisive but balanced sign. The harvest is completely hand-made and using wooden case.
Properties: dull ruby color, with violet glares; the scent is reminiscent of dark mature fruits and recalls intense woodland scent; the taste is full and elegant, it ends with a mellow softness.
Pairing: can be paired with strong personality first or second course. Worthy of mention are: tagliolini al sugo di leper (hare sauce with tagliolini pasta); roast pork with dried fruits and deer with blueberries sauce.
